Core Tone Controls
Core tone controls are the backbone of ColorPerfect: Black, White/Graded White, Gamma, Filmic Relight, Saturation, and the Black Point tools. These controls shape image lightness while preserving color integrity, which is the central promise of the system.
A reliable workflow usually starts with Black, then moves to White and highlight/shadow behavior, and only then to refinement tools like Filmic Relight or Saturation. Black Point and BP Tails are usually best left near their automatic starting values and only adjusted when you have a clear reason to do so.
Black: The Primary Exposure-Style Control
White: Add/Remove Fog and Shape Shadows
Filmic Relight: Film-Style Lightness Rendering
Saturation: Intensity Without Color Shift
Saturation Bands: Hue and Spread
